Moses is best known for his outstanding achievements in television, his contributions to the Canadian music industry, and now, for his newest role as a Champion for Canada’s 15.3 million people, aged 45plus.
In the 1970s, long before Facebook, Twitter or YouTube, Moses anticipated the popularity of user-generated content. His groundbreaking television concepts, notably Speaker’s Corner, Videography, and the Studioless Streetfront Television Operating System were at the core of over 20 independent stations and channels he co-founded, including CityTV, Bravo!, and CablePulse24; not to mention MuchMusic and MusiquePlus, which served to define a generation of Canadian youth in both official languages.
Among Moses’ honours commemorating his visionary contribution to Toronto’s urban landscape, the City of Toronto designated a famous downtown stretch of the legendary Queen Street MOSES ZNAIMER WAY.
Today, Moses is President of CARP, the country’s largest non-profit, nonpartisan member-based advocacy association committed to enhancing the quality of life for Canadians As We Age.
Moses is also the Founder of ZoomerMedia Limited (TSXV: ZUM), Canada’s only diversified media company uniquely devoted to creating content, services, and experiences for the 45plus on all platforms: National and Regional Television; Regional Radio; Digital Properties; Trade Shows; and the flagship ZOOMER magazine, Canada’s largest paid circulation magazine for mature men and women. ZoomerMedia and CARP are located in The ZoomerPlex, a 2.6-acre state-of-the-art production and live event complex in Toronto’s burgeoning creative neighbourhood called Liberty Village.
In 2014, Moses expanded ZoomerMedia’s regional radio to the Georgian Triangle with the launch of The New Classical 102.9 FM. The station can be heard in Collingwood, Thornbury, Meaford, Owen Sound, Stayner, Town of The Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach, Midland, Creemore, all the way over to Barrie and Orillia and everywhere in between.
Each June in Toronto for the past 17 years, Moses has gathered a dazzling line-up of 50 of the world’s brightest people and best artists for ideacity, three days of Talks, performances, parties, and ideas that can change the world. Each speaker has 17-minutes to give it their all on stage at the city’s spectacular Koerner Hall. ideacity has been called “Canada’s Meeting of the Minds”.
Moses was recently honoured in Rome, Italy at the 2015 “Nostalgia Di Futuro” conference; and in Milan where he gave the 2016 keynote address at Italy’s preeminent “Meet The Media Guru” symposium. The 2015 honouree was Francis Ford Coppola.
