Collingwood Second Highest Population Increase in Canada

On February 8th, Statistics Canada released preliminary data from the 2016 Census. The data released focused on population and dwellings.

 

As the Canadian Press reported, Wasaga Beach/ Collingwood has the second highest population increase based on percentage in all of Canada. This is noteworthy and is further evidence that people are choosing our region as the place to Live, Work, and Play.

 Town of the Blue Mountains 6,453 – 7,025 +8.9%

Clearview 13,734 – 14,151 +3.0%

Collingwood 19,241 – 21,793 +13.3%

Meaford (Town) 4,860 – 4,910 +1.0%

Wasaga Beach 17,537 – 20,675 +17.9%

Town of the Blue Mountains 6,200 – 6,477 +4.5%

Clearview 5,852 – 6,040 +3.2%

Collingwood 10,695 – 11,617 +8.6%

Meaford (Town) 2,373 – 2,476 +4.3%

Wasaga Beach 11,645 – 12,516 +7.5%
